Northern Inland Sustainable Business Network

"Sustainability is the biggest opportunity and challenge that business faces"

The Northern Inland Sustainable Business Network (NISBN) is an exciting new initiative aimed at providing hands-on, practical and importantly local assistance to business as they embark on the sustainability challenge. Through a series of networking opportunities we aim to improve the education, awareness and information sharing of sustainable projects in the Northern Inland of NSW.

The Northern Inland region covers the 13 Local Government areas of Armidale Dumaresq, Glen Innes Severn, Gunnedah, Guyra, Gwydir, Inverell, Liverpool Plains, Moree Plains, Narrabri, Tamworth Regional, Tenterfield, Uralla and Walcha Councils.

The main focus of NISBN is to provide:

  • opportunities for businesses to improve their sustainability
  • a one-stop-shop for business environmental resources
  • access to expert speakers on topics of sustainability
  • a supplier database for regional businesses
  • case studies of sustainable champions in the Northern Inland region
  • a showcase for sustainable initiatives and projects
  • a supportive environment for linking with like-minded businesses

Inaugural Members of the Northern Inland Sustainable Business Network (NISBN) are now being invited. Membership to NISBN is FREE for 09/10!

You can join online or download the membership form here.

NISBN is a unique partnership formed between TAFE NSW - New England Institute, AusIndustry, Industry & Investment NSW, Department of Environment, Climate Change and Water, Primary Industries Innovation Centre and Country Energy.

We are a not-for-profit organisation aimed at improving the sustainability of business in the Northern Inland region. As the network grows we hope to provide a series of opportunities for local business to be involved in improving their sustainable business practices.
