Save Power Kits

NISBN are currently providing access to a Save Power Kit to our Sustainability Advantage (SA) members courtesy of the Office of Environment and Heritage. There are only 12 kits currently available in NSW for businesses, and NISBN have been fortunate enough to secure 8 of them for use in the Northern Inland.

The Save Power Kit is a hands-on learning tool that helps people understand how they use power in their homes, and identify changes they can make to reduce their power use.

By providing employees with an opportunity to borrow the Kit, the NISBN SA companies may benefit by increased staff awareness and understanding of power use and the importance of energy efficiency. The Save Power Kit program can build the knowledge and skills of the participating businesses employees and create sustainable behaviours both at home and at work.

Each Kit contains the following items:

• Power Mate-Lite
• Infrared Thermometer
• Save Power thermometer
• Compass
• Stopwatch
• How to use the Save Power Kit information guide
• Worksheet (for employees to keep)
• Action Plan  (for employees to keep)

NISBN are currently seeking to provide the kits to other NISBN members at the conclusion of the trial with our Sustainability Advantage members.
